Hiring Postpartum Doulas at Sunny Side Postpartum Care

A team built for a long, joyful career, not a five-year burnout clock. We have an incredible privilege on this team to come into vulnerable spaces, which means we're super picky about who joins our team.

And we're equally as protective of our team members once they do join Sunny Side Postpartum Care.

We proudly provide culturally sensitive, LGBTQ+ affirming, immigrant and multiracial family support, because every family deserves to feel cared for exactly as they are.

WE'VE GOT YOU

But hang on,
how does this work?

PAID FOR YOUR TIME

Including the time that's complimentary to the client. You're not just paid when you're clocked in on a shift.

YOU SET YOUR AVAILABILITY

1 to 5 nights a week, daytime optional. 8-hour or 9-hour shifts, whichever you prefer. You tell us what works, and that's how you're matched.

REQUIREMENTS

CPR certification, liability insurance, references that aren't your relatives, and availability that leaves room to rest after a shift.

A CONTRACT THAT PROTECTS YOU

Half the clauses exist to protect doulas as people, not just to protect the business. Need mentoring, we offer that too!

You shouldn't have to choose between this work and your own well-being. And you shouldn't have to start a business to live your passion.

The doula industry has a five-year average burnout rate, and that's not a coincidence. It's what happens when caregivers are asked to give everything and offered nothing back. This is a business, and Jillian believes in payable wages, sustainability, and protecting the people doing this work in an industry with no real benefits or standards. If you have to leave at 6 am to get your own kid to school, that's championed here, not penalized. This is a relationship, built between you, Jillian, and the families you'll serve, in that order.

"Working with Sunny Side was an absolutely A+ experience. As first-time parents we moved very carefully picking out a company we felt comfortable with for overnight visits. As soon as we talked to these women we knew it was the right fit. Thanks to Amy, Jillian and team for being so accommodating."
