OH HEY THERE!

Meet the Team at Sunny Side Postpartum Care.

Ready to actually feel supported this time around? Excited about the newborn stage, but want someone in your corner who's done this a hundred times? Looking for less guessing and more confidence heading into those first few weeks?

You're in exactly the right place.

No two families look the same, and neither does our support. Your journey to baby may not have been linear, whether it came through IVF, adoption, surrogacy, or a path all your own. We meet you exactly where you are, without judgment, and show up as

your partners in postpartum.

Who I Mother
My daughter, Georgia, arrived after 3-years of fertility support and IVF. My doggy-son, Hammy, was rescued from Texas where he now prefers organic kibble and a freshly scrambled egg.
My Best Friend Would Say
"You are one of the most genuine people and the most dedicated friend. You give 110% and are so intuitive and know when I need a little extra. You’re not only that way with people you are closest with but anyone who’s lucky enough to come into your life."
On My Day Off

On My Day Off
I love  doing a slow and peaceful morning with my coffee and then a long trail run-walk, usually followed by some chores at home. If it’s winter, the trail run may be followed with a knitting project, baking, grabbing coffee with a friend

WHAT WE STAND FOR

We believe in you before you believe in yourself.

You're going to ask "am I doing this right?" more times than you can count, and every answer we give starts from the same place: you already know your baby better than anyone.

We're here for you with encouragement, knowledge, and  care. We won't hand you a script or a strict method. We'll ask what you want, listen without judging, and back whatever decision feels right for your family, whether that's formula or breastfeeding, a strict routine or none at all.

Unsolicited advice is criticism, and you didn't hire us for our opinions. You hired us so you'd never have to figure this out alone at 3am.

"Working with Sunny Side was an absolutely A+ experience. As first-time parents we moved very carefully picking out a company we felt comfortable with for overnight visits. As soon as we talked to these women we knew it was the right fit. Thanks to Amy, Jillian and team for being so accommodating."

Sam | Topsham, ME

WE'RE NOT MESSING AROUND

Everyone is welcome here.

You may see us use words like "maternal," "mother," "paternal," or "man" here and there on this site. That's simply the language of our own family, not an assumption about yours.

Sunny Side is here for single parents, families of every gender, race, identity, sexuality, family structure, and citizenship status. If we ever get the words wrong, we welcome the correction.

We're students of this world, always learning and unlearning right alongside the families we serve.

Non-Profits We Love

Jillian co-founded the Heart of Maine Doula Program, which was created in preparation of MaineCare covering doula support. She is training the next generation of doulas  in Maine through a hands-on curriculum in newborn care, postpartum support, and business fundamentals.

Jillian serves as Treasurer and Mentor for Community Doulas, a nonprofit providing low- and no-cost birth doula support across Maine. $2 from every hour we work goes is donated to their work because every family in Maine deserves doula support.

IMG_3357.jpeg

Jillian donates directly to MaineNeeds and runs a book drive for them every year in honor of her daughter's birthday. If you have baby items you no longer need, hand them to Jillian and she'll bring them to MaineNeeds herself. No drop-off required on your end.

PLOT TWIST: YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIGURE THIS OUT ALONE.

Let's get you set up with a postpartum plan that actually makes sense for your family.
